- Lord Jacob Rothschild, Chairman of RIT Capital Partners plc (one of the largest investment trusts on the London Stock Exchange), who has an on the books personal wealth of $600 million, lobbies against British interests for Israel, as Honorary President of the Institute for Jewish Policy Research, and recently joined forces with the Rockefeller fortune, had the gall to claim he sympathizes with the rise in protests against the corrupt financial system, during an interview with the Jerusalem Report.
?I have a lot of sympathy with people who protested about some of the excesses in the world of finance,? he told the Report. ?After all, here are characters who have made great fortunes who have been in charge of a system which has been very damaging to many interests in the last five to 10 years. They have had enormous benefits but the banking system as a whole has had a crippling effect in a number of areas throughout the world.?
His hollow remarks are interwoven with the apparent good things he?s doing for Israel, where hundreds of thousands of citizens have been protesting about the weakening economy, inflation and Benyamin Netanyahu?s government in general.
?Today the role of philanthropy in Israel, given the prosperity of this country, is a very different one. We like to think we?re doing things that wouldn?t have happened had we not become involved.
?I think the National Library is a good example,? he said. ?I think it frankly wouldn?t hadn?t come along with our proposal.?
Because of course financing a library is the best way to support protesters around the world.
Rothschild who has close ties to war criminal Henry Kissinger was confronted by WeAreChange to talk about the Bilderberg meeting, which his peers and family have been heavily involved in, and which he?s suspected of attending himself:

- According to former German Minster of Finance Hans Eichel and former Greek Minister of Finance and European Commissioner Yannis Palaiokrassas, Carbon taxes are the desired method to help reduce EU deficits. In what they?ve nonsensically dubbed ?smarter taxation? the duo claim in a Guardian Blog with no evidence whatsoever, that taxing the life giving gas will ?play a useful role in raising government revenue at little cost in terms of economic growth.?
Rising energy bills, driven by the cost of fossil fuels, are a massive political issue in many countries in Europe and elsewhere, including the United States, where consumer energy prices have become a major issue in the run-up to this year?s presidential election. But, relative to other forms of taxation, energy taxation tends to benefit consumers overall. The gains from avoiding the negative impact of conventional taxes work across the economy, particularly as the least well-off maintain a higher level of disposable household income.
Again they do not explain why taxing energy is better than other taxation, just that it is, because they say so. Common sense tells us that the Government aren?t going to start cutting regular taxes, so their point is moot. Any extra taxation be it on energy or anything else, is simply that, extra taxation. Are we supposed to be thankful that instead of increasing income tax, they may instead increase energy bills?
As we?ve documented, UK citizens are already facing a ?500 a year higher energy bill so the giant corporations can go ?green? without paying for it themselves. Then there are all the hidden taxes such as regulations that force EU member states to only use the more expensive low energy CFL light bulbs.
How about the Governments that overspent in our name to fund illegal and immoral wars across the world, and the banksters that have plummeted the world?s economy and then forced the people to pay for the debt, go to jail instead?

- The New York Times quotes an anonymous senior official in the Obama administration that admits the US Government were involved in an act of cyber-terrorism against Iran?s civilian nuclear power program, when they teamed up with Israel to launch the stuxnet virus.
Interestingly code-named Olympic Games (likely as a way to fear monger for an attack on London) Obama decided to accelerate the attacks ? begun in the Bush administration, even after an element of the program accidentally became public in the summer of 2010 because of a programming error that allowed it to escape Iran?s Natanz plant and sent it around the world on the Internet.
The article notes that: This account of the American and Israeli effort to undermine the Iranian nuclear program is based on interviews over the past 18 months with current and former American, European and Israeli officials involved in the program, as well as a range of outside experts.
